1. General Information

This Privacy Policy describes what data the application may access and use, how this data is processed, and how it is protected.

By using the application, the user confirms that they have read and agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Data the Application May Access

The application collects information that the user voluntarily shares through conversation and interaction with the app, in order to provide personalized recommendations.

This includes preference-related information such as:

• cuisine preferences
• ingredients or products the user wants to exclude from recommendations
• preferred cooking time / time available for meal preparation
• number of people the user is cooking for
• other similar lifestyle and taste preferences shared by the user during use of the application

The application does not collect or process health data, medical information, or fitness/activity data (e.g. steps, heart rate, sleep, workouts). Any exclusions the user specifies (e.g. disliked or avoided ingredients) are treated solely as taste and menu preferences, not as medical or allergy data.

3. Purpose of Data Usage

The data described in Section 2 is used only to the extent necessary to provide the core functionality of the application, specifically:

• generating personalized meal, menu, and lifestyle recommendations
• tailoring suggestions to the user's stated tastes, exclusions, available time, and household size
• improving the relevance of recommendations over time

This data is not used for advertising, marketing, selling data, or any purpose unrelated to providing personalized recommendations within the application.

4. AI Data Processing

To generate personalized recommendations, the application processes the preference data described in Section 2 using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including third-party AI service providers.

• What is sent: the preference information described in Section 2 (cuisine preferences, excluded products, cooking time, household size, and similar inputs the user provides through conversation), together with the relevant part of the conversation needed to answer the request
• Why: to generate personalized recommendations within the application
• Who processes it: third-party AI service providers acting on behalf of EQVI as data processors. The user is informed about this transfer at the start of the conversation, before any data is sent
• Safeguards: data shared with third-party AI providers is subject to contractual data processing terms requiring confidentiality and appropriate security measures. The providers may use the data only to generate the response requested by the application and not for their own purposes, including training of their models or advertising
• Retention: conversation history and preferences are stored on EQVI servers for as long as the user's account exists and are deleted together with the account. AI providers receive the data only for the time needed to generate the response and are not permitted to retain it beyond what is required to provide the service

Data processed by AI providers is not used for advertising and is not sold to third parties.

Users may delete their conversation history and preferences at any time by deleting their account in the application (see Section 7).

5. Data Storage and Processing

User preference data and conversation history are stored on EQVI servers in order to provide continuity of personalized recommendations across sessions. A copy of the recent conversation is kept on the user's device for display purposes and is removed when the account is deleted or the application is uninstalled.

If the way this data is stored or processed changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or disclose user preference data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or data-broker purposes.

As described in Section 4, preference data is shared with AI service providers strictly for the purpose of generating personalized recommendations, under contractual confidentiality obligations.

7. Managing Data

Users can delete all stored preferences and conversation history at any time using the "Delete account" action in the account section of the application. Deletion is permanent: the account, the conversation and the generated recommendations are removed.

To stop data processing, users may:

• delete their account in the application
• stop using the application
• contact the developer at the address in Section 11 with a deletion request

8. Data Security

We take reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect user data, including data shared with AI service providers, and aim to minimize the amount of data processed.

We follow the principle of data minimization and collect only the information necessary for the application to provide personalized recommendations.

9. Children's Privacy

The application is not intended for children unless explicitly stated otherwise in the app description. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
